Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day! When I was asked to develop a social media post related to Father’s Day, I decided to pitch this style animation. I think holidays related to parents can be very meaningful for some and very difficult for others. Additionally, pulling a single photo to encapsulate all fathers felt impossible. Picking a single photo of a man would exclude every other person who didn’t look like him.

Instead, I found an animation technique, the spiraling banner seen below, that I wanted to try, and pitched a quick animation. While not all dads wear ties, this seemed like a solution that was more simple than trying to find the right photo, and had a light-hearted feel to it.
